At the 5th Student Hub Masterclass you will meet one of the most prolific film editors in Romania
.

It is said that the work of an editor is all the more successful as it is less noticed by the viewer while watching the movie. To what extent is it true, we will find on December 11th, at 19:00, at CINETic, from the editor of the Romanian New Wave iconic films, including Palme d’Or winner 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days, The Death of Mr. Lazarescu, winner of the Un Certain Regard section in Cannes, and Golden Bear winner Child’s Pose.

one of the most important video editors and sound designers in the Romanian film industry, Dana Bunescu has a remarkable artistic career of almost 18 years, including an impressive filmography, collaborations with well-known Romanian directors and international recognition for her artistic contribution. Within the masterclass, you will have the chance to learn more about the relationship between the film editor and the rest of the crew, the difference between editing a fiction film and a documentary and what is the best approach in each of these cases, as well as what it means to work with stock material.


Participation is free. Student Hub Masterclasses are mainly dedicated to students. In order to participate, just send an email at events@romfilmdevelopment.org with the subject “Applying for Masterclass # 5”, and mention your first and last name, and the university you are studying at.

Should there be any seats left, the masterclass is also open to those who are already working in the film industry and for whom the class subject is of interest and useful in their practice, or to the film enthusiasts who want to discover the world behind the screen and improve their knowledge in cinema.
