The well-known international film festival for children and adolescents, the largest in Central and Southeast Europe, will screen this year a selection of the best films presented at the last year’s anniversary edition.

The feature films presented at KINOdiseea 11 are:

White Fang(directed by Alexandre Espigares): The most accurate adaptation of Jack London’s book. White Fang and his canine friends call the stunning surface of Yukon territory their home, but with the golden rush of the 1980s, life becomes very hard because of the gold seekers who want to get rich. Will White Fang prevail in changing its destiny?

The Little Witch(directed by Michael Schaerer): The little witch is only 127 years old – way too young for the witch’s annual congress. She is not yet old enough to be a real witch, but she wants to become a very skilled one. This ambition causes all sorts of events in her magical world.

The children of Genghis(directed by Zolbayar Dorj): In Mongolia, where people often learn to ride before they learn to walk, horse racing is an important tradition passed down from generation to generation. Siblings Dorj (12) and Byambaa (8) hope that their father will overcome his reluctance to teach them this famous skill. This touching film about courage and family gives us an intimate portrait of the Mongolian cultural heritage of Naadam Festival, a rare picture on the big screens.

Furthermore, on April 6th, the audience can enjoy a special selection of short films, some of the most appreciated films of the past year. The set consists of an international selection of 10 animation and live-action short films from 8 countries.
